I always knew I wanted to be in retail.  I can remember being in my grandparents store at age 9 re-merchandising and assisting customers with their needs.  Even after 18 years, I still have a passion for the business of retail.

I attended Oregon State University and studied Merchandising Management to further my love of retail.  Upon graduation, I started my management career in a small family owned clothing store.  From there, I worked in several corporate retail settings both in apparel and home stores.  I discovered I had a true passion for interiors and the home.  I found myself missing the family side of retail and thus found my way to Paul Schatz Furniture.

I truly enjoy providing an outstanding environment  for our clients to receive the best quality furniture and accessories while receiving exceptional service available through our incredible designers.

I love finding the gentle balance of a great career with the daily challenges of being a wife and working mom of two growing boys.  In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, shopping, and just spending time with family and friends.

OfficePOD is a modern prefab that aims to bring the office experience to your backyard in an eco-friendly ‘pod-like cube’. As people begin to work from home more frequently by harnessing cloud networking and wireless technology, OfficePOD allows the masses to have an environment close to home where they can still maintain a work mentality, but with the benefit of their own kitchens being nearby.

I have worked for Paul Schatz Furniture for 13 years and have over 30 years of experience in the furniture industry. I am regularly invited by major furniture manufacturers to participate in design panels that review and critique new product designs prior to offering them to the general public. My sense of design, proportion and product desirability in the Northwest makes me highly sought after for advice in the industry. I am now heading up the Trade division for Paul Schatz Furniture. Prior to this I was the Merchandise Manager and buyer for the store giving me the insight and design experience that can not be matched when it comes to understanding your design elements and selecting the right furniture for your home.

I have always loved the design process, how you have to come up with ideas and think them through to create livable and beautiful spaces. I am a person who has a passion for being creative, love doing the “extra touches” and enjoy finding imaginative ideas for everything I set out to do.

After graduating from Oregon State University I was eager to put this creative process to work along with my understanding of color and principles of design. Paul Schatz Furniture gave me an opportunity to offer these talents and knowledge to clients. Here is where I enjoyed presenting floor plans and scouting for furniture, fabrics, and materials.

After 8 successful years as an Interior Designer I changed careers and took on the challenge of raising three wonderful children. Now as they begin their own careers I find myself back where I began. My enthusiasm to please people and my design background help establish another position at Paul Schatz Furniture. I enjoy talking and assisting dozen of different people each day by serving as a receptionist.

There’s always something different to do on my list including assisting clients with their design challenges, helping management and working alongside the interior’s team as an assistant to the designers. I truly enjoy how work is different every day and always interesting with the added bonus of being surrounded by many other creative minds and successful Interior Designers.
